The State University of New York at Fredonia seeks nominations and applications for a strategic and collaborative person to serve as a Financial aid Advisor in the Office of Financial Aid.  This is a full-time, 12 month,  Financial Aid Advisor (SL3), UUP represented position,  beginning February 2025 at an annual salary of $58,000-$65,000 commensurate with experience. Financial Aid Advisors in the Office of Financial Aid, support customer service (i.e. phones, lobby, chatbot and email) and the processing that is required for State or Federal Student Aid.  The individuals are well versed in the various aspects of financial aid, compliance, Title IV funding and packaging. Individuals in these positions are responsible for supporting and administering student financial aid programs/services and will provide financial counseling to students. The individuals will also work with the Student Information Systems (Ellucian Banner), companion systems, which support the university with a focus on financial aid management, scholarships and verification (Document imaging OnBase, CampusLogic/StudentForms, FredScholar, NSLDS, COD and other locally developed and commercial software tools etc.). The successful candidates must also possess a general understanding of financial aid and be able to think independently and make autonomous decisions.
