Description

The Albany Market of Bryant & Stratton College is currently accepting applications for a full-time Financial Aid Manager.

The Financial Aid Manager coordinates and manages all federal, state and system financial aid programs. The Financial Aid Manager is responsible for departmental policies and procedures to ensure Bryant & Stratton College is in compliance with regulatory bodies including, but not limited to, United States Department of Education, State Board of Regents, Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and Guarantee agencies.

 Essential Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Financial Aid staff including hiring/firing, training, coaching, performance evaluation, salary administration and planning.
  • Responsible for maintenance of high customer service standards in financial aid areas.
  • Ensure all financial aid programs are properly administered and comply with all federal and state regulations.
  • Responsible for the timely processing and submission of financial aid applications for all registered students.
  • Ensure student financial aid records are complete, organized and properly filed in a timely manner.
  • Review and submit student refund authorization in Banner.
  • Coordinate with the business office to ensure proper cash management procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for ensuring all necessary enrollment documents are received and processed from other departments to assure adjustments to financial aid are processed in a timely manner and in accordance to applicable regulations.
  • Provide and prepare information for required federal, state and accrediting agency reports and ensure timely submission. 
  • Prepare documentation for regulatory audits.
  • Assist in the preparations of financial aid information including the packaging report for our monthly conference calls.
  • Submit to third party services appropriate documentation for loan default management. Review and respond to cohort default rates and prepare any necessary appeals.
  • Coordinate and participate in the financial aid portion of orientation, registration and graduation seminars.
  • Participate with other members of the campus management team in activities and communication designed to improve campus performance and meet management objectives.
  • Participate in influencer activities.
  • Other functions and responsibilities as assigned.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience
  • Financial Aid experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience and proficiency with incorporating the use of technology
  • Computer literacy required
  • Knowledge of SCT Banner helpful
  • Background check required

 

EXEMPT POSITION  

SALARY:  

$56,000 - $65,000

The selected candidate’s actual base pay for this role will take into account a wide range of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
