Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two [2] full time years of experience working at a higher education institution as either a full-time employee or student hourly employee. Experience interacting with students and their families. Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system for a large organization. Strong customer service skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Experience presenting, training, and/or conducting workshops.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Full-time financial aid experience including a working knowledge of financial aid programs. Experience advising students and or families on financial aid processes. Financial Aid experience in a SUNY or NY State University.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Financial Aid Advisor will represent the university at recruitment functions. The successful incumbent will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills with an exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving.

This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,087 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
